De Montfort University Kazakhstan is a branch campus established in 2021 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, operating as the first British university campus in the country. The institution delivers English-medium programmes and currently enrolls over 500 undergraduate students. DMUK was established through a partnership between De Montfort University Leicester in the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan's Ministry of Education and Science, enabling students to pursue internationally recognized British degrees within Central Asia.
The university offers industry-focused undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across multiple disciplines, with an emphasis on practical education aligned to employment outcomes. As a relatively new institution, DMUK does not yet appear in major international university rankings, though it operates under the academic standards and quality assurance frameworks of its UK parent institution.
